Well, lately, I've really been feeling like a slug; I was sick for a while and wasn't able to run/work out and there was a lot of food around after the loss of my husband's grandmother so I didn't really stick to my clean/whole/natural/healthy food plan.
I'm sure all of that has something to do with it, but since then I've jumped back on my bandwagon of running, working out, eating healthier, and setting goals. And I have been doing some contemplating...pruning if you will.
I'm trying to rid myself of bad and immerse myself in good. Let's be honest, there isn't really anything negative about making healthy choices. So, I find myself contemplating a gym membership.
This is a tough decision for me! Let me explain:
1. I love to run. I love to run outdoors. I'm not much of a treadmill girl. However, in the event of a thunderstorm, a treadmill would be nice.
2. I teach a workout class for free 1 night a week at my church. Yes, I teach it. Which makes me question why I need a gym membership if I'm able to teach an aerobic class?! Perhaps that is a pride thing.
3. I now carpool and would have to join the gym in my town in order to continue carpooling. I'm not knocking the gym - I live in a small area, we aren't going to have a Nautilus - but it's hard for me to justify paying the same fee for a few pieces of equipment that I was paying for all the glory of classes, an indoor pool, racquet ball courts, and nautilus machines.
Any thoughts on this? I understand this is a minor decision, but for some reason I'm really struggling with it. Don't ask me why - I'm female??
