2013, welcome.

Welcome, 2013!
You know, I could sit here and make a list of resolutions like run more, eat less, choose to be happy each day, live for myself, stop trying to please others, blah blah blah.

But if we're all being honest here, no resolution has ever truly lasted into February.  Right?  Please, someone agree with me and make me feel better about that.

So I'm not going to call these resolutions.  There are definitely things I want to work on for 2013:

  • save enough money for my DSLR camera
  • upgrade my bloggy space
  • run more/eat less
  • keep organized
  • be the best wife/friend/daughter/sister I can be
More importantly I have a list of things I no longer want to waste my time on.  Do you do that?  Do you catch yourself wasting time on things that aren't important, you don't enjoy, or don't even care about?  I'm a sucker for it.

So here is my list of things I'm not going to waste (as much) time on this year:
  • Friendships I'm not truly invested in. (Ouch - that hurt to say)
  • Feeling sluggish after too many glasses of wine
  • Walking in shoes that aren't comfortable
  • Trying on clothes that I wish would fit
  • Making excuses
  • Sitting on the couch instead of running
  • Stressing
  • Eating processed foods
  • Laying in bed after I'm awake
  • Crying over spilt milk (or the equivalent)
  • Worrying
  • Wearing clothing I don't feel confident in
  • Judging myself
  • Critiquing my body
  • Gossiping
  • Fried food (it makes me feel bad anyway)
I'm sure there are other things I could stop wasting time on. Here's to hoping 2013 is just as blessed '12.
