A little slice of pink sheds light

Scarf: gift, Tee: Liz Lange for Target, Skirt: Liz Lange for Target, Bracelet: Groopdealz

I'm a red head so I don't own a lot of pink and now that I'm pregnant, I definitely lack pink in my wardrobe so when we were asked to wear pink to show breast cancer awareness at work last week I had to search my closet.

Luckily I'd been gifted this pretty scarf a few years ago by a coworker as part of our Secret Santa exchange.  Throughout the day a lot of my students were asking me where my pink was and they were unsatisfied with the little bit I had on.

Truth is, there are a lot of colors like pink that I'm lacking in my wardrobe.  Until recently (a.k.a until I started blogging) I was really conservative and careful with my wardrobe.  Primarily because I was unsure of what people would say if I went too bold or bright.

It's funny to me now when I look in my closet that at one point people teased me for the amount of black I wore or the fact that I was strictly neutrals only.  Now, when you look in my closet, it is flooded with prints, brights, vibrant hues, and even trends!  I've always loved clothes; always admired fashion and always had an eye for it, but now I find myself venturing out and trying those things I admire.

Printed pants, neon accents, faux leather trim, and booties to name a few.  Fashion is so fun!  It is all about you and who really cares what other people have to say about it?!
